COVID-19 Update: How We Are Serving and Protecting Our Clients

We are closely tracking the rapidly evolving public health concerns related to the Coronavirus or COVID-19. Rest assured that we are taking all available steps to remain accessible to our clients as we continue to act in accordance with their best interests during this difficult time.

Please see below for answers to some frequently asked questions:

Is your office currently open during normal business hours?

Yes. We are open for business between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM weekdays. We are primarily working remotely, for the safety of all employees. As a result, office visits are not possible at this time, until further notice.

When and how can I contact you?

You may contact us any time at tomm@maurlaw.com or (619) 940-1606 for assistance with a new or ongoing legal matter.

Are you accepting new clients?

Yes. For new clients, we look forward to discussing your potential legal matter. As always, initial consultations are without charge.

How can I get updates regarding the status of my case or legal matter?

The best way to receive updates on your case or legal matter is to contact us by email at tomm@maurlaw.com.

Are courts of law and arbitration forums still open in my area? Will my court or arbitration date be rescheduled?

Most courts and arbitration forums are either closed completely or are severely limited in their operations. Different courts (e.g., State versus Federal Courts, San Diego County Superior Court versus Orange County Superior Court, etc.) have established different rules and policies at this time. This may impact court filings, scheduling of motions, hearing dates, and trials. In general, any hearings or trials scheduled through the end of April, and possible beyond, have been cancelled or postponed to undetermined future dates. If you have specific questions about scheduled dates in your case, please let us know.

Will scheduled depositions, mediation, arbitration, or settlement negotiations occur as planned?

As with court and arbitration hearings, in general any depositions and mediations scheduled through the end of April have been cancelled or postponed to undetermined future dates. If you have specific questions about scheduled dates in your case, please let us know.

Client Reviews
★★★★★
Tom, thank you for your all help. Among the three other attorneys I talked with, I chose you because you really listened, asked thoughtful questions and sought all information to understand my situation. That gave me confidence in you above all others. I am a believer in receiving feedback, so I just wanted to share my thoughts with you. If I come across anyone that is looking for counsel in this industry I will certainly refer them your way. Scott Yi, Securities Registered Representative
